Training Courses: "Strategic Leadership" and "Quality Standards in the Educational Process" by the Human Resource Development Unit – Wednesday, 18 December 2024
As part of the ongoing activities of the President of the Republic's human development initiative, "A New Beginning for Building the Individual", at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and under the auspices of:
Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University,
Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
and led by Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Dean of the Faculty,
with the supervision of Prof. Doaa Samir Hizah, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,
and organised by Dr. Arwa Ahmed El-Barashi, Director of the Human Resource Development Unit,
Two training courses were held on Wednesday, 18 December 2024, delivered by Prof. Fatma El Zahraa Abdel-Hamid El-Gohary, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Centre at Mansoura University.
1. Training Course: "Strategic Leadership"
Part of the training plan for academic and administrative leaders for the 2024/2025 academic year, this course covered:
The definition and importance of strategic leadership.
Differences between traditional and strategic leadership.
Factors influencing effective leadership.
The role of leadership in shaping an institution's vision.
Methods for developing personal leadership skills.
The importance of feedback in enhancing leadership skills.
2. Training Course: "Quality Standards in the Educational Process – Performance Metrics for University Professors"
Part of the training plan for faculty members and teaching assistants for the 2024/2025 academic year, this course addressed:
How to apply quality standards to elements of the educational process (university professor, student, and learning environment).
Methods and procedures for implementing quality systems.
Preparing for external review visits from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
General evaluation surveys were prepared, along with separate learning assessment forms for each course, as part of the mechanism to measure training outcomes.
