Workshop: "Professional Identity and Self-Marketing through LinkedIn" – Graduate Follow-Up Unit, Thursday, 19 December 2024
As part of the activities of the initiative "A New Beginning for Building the Individual" and under the auspices of:
Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University,
Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
and led by Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Dean of the Faculty,
with the supervision of Prof. Doaa Samir Hizah, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development,
organised by Dr. Esraa Ahmed Abdel-Meguid, Director of the Graduate Follow-Up Unit,
and coordinated by Eng. Norhan Gamal, Graduate Follow-Up and Employment Officer for Tourism Studies graduates,
a workshop titled "Professional Identity and Self-Marketing through LinkedIn" was held on Thursday, 19 December 2024, as part of the professional development programmes for graduates during the 2024/2025 academic year.
The workshop was delivered by Ms Dina Hassan El-Radi Saad, who holds:
A Master’s in Media from California State University, Fullerton, USA,
A Master’s in Tourism Studies from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Mansoura University,
She is also an alumnus of the Bachelor’s Programme in Tourism Studies, Class of 2012, and was recognised as an Outstanding Graduate for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The workshop covered:
How to create a professional LinkedIn profile.
Writing skills, experiences, and a summary that clearly highlights capabilities.
Innovative techniques for creating engaging and creative content.
Strategies for interacting with others and building strong professional connections on LinkedIn.
Job search methods and enhancing one’s digital identity on LinkedIn.
The workshop was attended by representatives from final-year students, graduates from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and graduates from the Faculty of Agriculture.
Additionally, five graduates from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels applied for job opportunities at Adio Service for Tourism.
