Workshop: "Etiquette and Protocol" for Students of Sidi Yassin Primary School at the Faculty Restaurant – Tuesday, 12th November 2024
As part of the ongoing activities under the Human Development Initiative "A New Beginning for Building the Individual" launched by His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and implemented by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels:
Under the auspices of Prof. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University; Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; and Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, along with the leadership of Prof. Doaa Samir Hizah, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the supervision of Prof. Sherif Gamal Saad, Head of the Hotel Studies Department, and coordination by Ms. Rania El-Sayed, Head of the Community Service and Convoys Department:
The Hotel Studies Department and the Community Service and Convoys Department organised a workshop titled "Etiquette and Protocol" as part of the faculty's community awareness plan under the initiative "A Generation Aware of Tourism, History, and Heritage." The workshop was attended by 17 students from Sidi Yassin Primary School on 12th November 2024.
The session was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mr. Gamal Ibrahim Gadou from the Hotel Studies Department. It covered the definition of protocol and etiquette, etiquette rules for communication, daily interactions, special events, attire, reception protocols, table setting arrangements, and an introduction to tourism and its significance.
The workshop was supervised by Dr. Mona Gouida, the school principal; Ms. Doaa Salah, Social Specialist; and Ms. Faten Ahmed, Psychological Specialist.
