A delegation from Sinop University in Turkey visits the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Mansoura University

Under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and the leadership of Prof. Tarek Mostafa Ghalloush, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, Research, and Cultural Relations,
and under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Mansoura University, and Prof. Marwa Hassan, Director of the International and Cultural Relations Office at Mansoura University,
and organised by Prof. Rehab Mahmoud El Sharnoubi, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and coordinated by Dr. Ahmed Saleh Abo El-Eneen, Coordinator of International and Cultural Relations at the Faculty,
 
the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels received a delegation from Sinop University, Turkey, on Tuesday, 21 January 2025. The delegation included Prof. Muhyiddin Yilmaz, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Reza Bayrak, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and International Relations, and Dr. Mostafa Ashmawy, Head of International Relations at Sinop University.
 
The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Shady Aouni and Prof. Yousra El-Far, Deputy Directors of the International Relations Office at Mansoura University.
 
The meeting was attended by Prof. Doaa Samir Hazza, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Zahri, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Rania Mohamed Bahaa El-Din, Head of the Tourism Studies Department, Prof. Sherif Gamal Saad, Head of the Hotel Studies Department, Prof. Mona Ezz Ali, Head of the Tourist Guidance Department, Mr. Fakhry Abdel Salam, Faculty Secretary, and Colonel Mohamed Awad, Faculty Security Director.
 
The visit commenced with a reception for the guests in the office of Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty, where he presented an overview of the academic departments and programs within the Faculty. He also highlighted the Faculty’s achievements in the fields of archaeology, tourist guidance, hotel and tourism studies, and tourism marketing, in the presence of the Faculty’s vice deans.
 
The visit included a tour, starting with the Educational Museum under the supervision of Dr. Karim Abdel Fattah, Lecturer in the Tourist Guidance Department and Museum Supervisor. Students presented explanations in English about the educational artefact models representing various historical periods, from the Pharaonic era to the Graeco-Roman, then the Coptic and Islamic periods.
 
The delegation then visited the educational kitchen and restaurant under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Gamal Ibrahim Gadou from the Hotel Studies Department, where they explored the practical aspects of the department’s courses through an open dialogue with some students.
 
Following this, the delegation visited the Faculty Library to learn about the services and resources available to students, including printed books and access to global electronic platforms and websites.
 
At the conclusion of the visit, Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to the guests for their visit, extending an invitation for future visits and fruitful cooperation between the two parties.
