On Sunday, 20 April 2025, students from the Department of Tourist Guidance embarked on a field trip to Alexandria as part of a scientific excursion aimed at enhancing their professional skills and providing practical training in tourist guiding.
The students visited the Kom El Shoqafa Catacombs and Pompey’s Pillar, and the trip concluded with a recreational and sightseeing tour of the Qaitbay Citadel area.
The excursion was academically supervised by Dr Karim Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Lecturer in the Department of Tourist Guidance, and Ms Kholoud Hosny Younes, Assistant Lecturer in the same department.
The activity was held under the auspices of Prof Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty, and led by Prof Mohamed Zahry, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. It was organised by the Department of Tourist Guidance under the leadership of Assoc Prof Mona Ezz Ali, and supervised by the Youth Welfare Office, represented by Ms Asmaa Mamdouh and Ms Doaa Magdy.
